Earaches In Children:
Paul's Story Of Natural Therapy
As Told By Dr. Barry R. Gillespie
Chronic earaches in children can respond to natural therapy.
Paul was one year old when his doctor diagnosed chronic earaches
(otitis media).
Even though different antibiotics were tried and Paul's daily intake
of dairy products was limited, his earaches always returned. Surgically
placing tubes in Paul's ears helped, but infections still occurred.
His mother explained, "It was very hard for me to have my child
look at me with that 'Please do something' look. Time after time the
doctor would tell me, 'At least he is having fewer infections' or
'He will grow out of this syndrome.' "
Choosing Natural Therapy
For Her Child's Earaches
Wanting to find a way to stop the sobbing of a
child in constant pain, his mother decided to try natural therapy.
I examined Paul at age five. I found his temporal (or ear bones)
dramatically out of position and restricted. This is a characteristic
clinical sign of children with chronic ear infections.
I explained to his mother the excellent past results with other children
with chronic earaches and believed Paul would respond in a similar
manner.
Over a few short visits his bones were realigned, fascia and
muscles released, and normal ear bone motion resumed.
After Natural Therapies,
Only One Brief Earache In 11 Years
In the past 11 years Paul has had only one earache that lasted
only a few hours. No antibiotics, other medicines, or treatments
have been necessary.
His mother recently said, "I see neighborhood children with
ear infections take antibiotics week after week and still feel miserable.
Natural therapy is responsible for my child growing up earache
free without any hearing impairment."
Natural therapies and healthy living can be extremely effective in
correcting the source of chronic earaches in children.
