Jack, at age six, was a restless child. His continuous hyperactivity
usually led him to damage things and fight with other children.
He was a bright boy and was not taking medications for hyperactivity
at the time he began treatment with me.
His parents did not know what to do for Jack, but they were open
to any therapy that could help him.
They did not fully understand the concepts of cranial therapy at
the time, but had heard that many other children responded positively
with treatment. Because it appeared to be a harmless natural procedure,
they said they had nothing to lose.
When I examined Jack in 1981, his cranium was extremely tight. This
is common in children with hyperactivity. His parents related that
he had experienced many blows to his head. Usually when a therapist
feels a child's head, he can feel some initial movement of the brain
and bones. Jack's head felt as if it were stuck in a vise!
Improvement In Jack's Hyperactivity
On the first visit I began to release Jack's cranial tissues. I
received a call a few days later from his mother, who reported that
later on the day of treatment, Jack had been very calm, quiet,
and easy to manage.
All the family members including his grandparents wanted to know
what had happened to the boy.
I continued to treat him for a number of visits; his muscles and
fascia required manipulative natural therapy for complete relief.
Jack once told his mother that he felt the need for a treatment on
his back because he could feel the muscles pulling up into his head
and neck.
When these muscles contracted, the attached cranial bones became
tight, recreating his original problems. His personality seemed to
be a direct reflection of his muscle and fascial status.
Resolution of Hyperactivity
In A Child
Jack's parents followed through diligently with treatment for him.
The result is that his hyperactivity resolved, and with it the negative
behavior and its unhappy consequences.
Today, 18 years later Jack is a happy young man.
I believe that an extremely high percentage of children with hyperactive
child syndrome (hyperactivity in children) have undiagnosed, severely
restricted craniosacral motion with tight muscle and fascial tissues
causing at least some of their difficulties. These hyperactive children
feel much better when the pressure around their brain is released.
